Our Story
June 2022 will be a time I will never forget. I was sitting at the kitchen table with my husband, on the phone with my doctor. We received the news that I had breast cancer, I was numb but knew questions had to be asked. After that, telling my family was going to be the hardest thing to do.
The out pouring of love and support began immediately. The Bluegrass community is so much more than people getting together for a music festival. You truly become family! My bluegrass family went above and beyond for me and Sleepy, and we both agreed that we would somehow pay it forward.
The festival is very important to both of us. With my battle still going and fresh on our minds and hearts, we want to help others on their journey as well.
